Construction and maintenance of fire alarm systems
Fire alarms are an essential element in the fire prevention process. The aim of any fire alarm system is to detect a fire at the earliest possible stage. The system generates an alarm signal in the presence of at least one of the components of combustion – smoke, flame or heat. Depending on the fire risk and the specific application, the fire alarm systems we design and build are of two types – conventional and addressable.
- The detectors and other peripherals of the addressable systems are arranged in a circle along a cable line that starts at the control panel and ends at the control panel. This enables full device recognition by individual address. Addressable systems locate the exact location of a fire by the address of the detector in the alarm, and are more suitable for large sites such as shopping malls, office buildings, educational institutions, hospitals, etc.
- Conventional systems detect the fire and signal it, but do not locate its location with absolute accuracy. Due to this specificity, this type of systems are suitable for smaller sites where it is possible to quickly bypass the area in alarm and detect the fire.
Regardless of the type of system, fire alarm control panels have an easy and intuitive user interface. This allows the responsible site safety personnel to react immediately and take the correct action in the event of an alarm event.
